Our company helped sponsor and organized difference activities such as Everest Day, an annual event in which the people of Nepal celebrate the beauty of the Himalaya and learn about the present environmental problems that threatens it.

Commitment to high land porters:

As the abuse of trekking porters is drawing international attention towards backing up selected companies, Mega Mount has always been concerned about High Land Porters’ safety and Job Security. While many companies have keep aside their seasonal employee after they become disable in some mountain mishap, Our company looks after their family, kid’s education and guarantees their fundamental needs.Present environmental problems that threaten it.

Mega Mount Trekking & Expedition-Nepal is a Nepali owned and operated company that knows the importance giving back to the mountain communities of Nepal.This is why we have started the program School and Children Nepal. It is a program designed to help build schools in the villages of Nepal. So far over thirty schools have been rebuilt fully or partially Mega Mount also donates a percentage of all its profits to community projects aimed at helping those in need.

All of our treks are led by qualified, well experienced & trained guides who have been trained in first aid, basic and advanced mountaineering skills, environment and various other related subject matters. We pay extra attention to all health concerns such as water and food etc. We are a member of the KEEP, Himalayan Rescue Association as well as Trekking Agents Association of Nepal.

Mega Mount Trekking & Expedition-Nepal strives to organize culturally rewarding and environmentally friendly trekking trips that provide economic and social benefits to the local communities. We there fore buy most of our trekking food supplies locally, promote eating local food and stay at locally run Inns,and camp sites and promote home stays only. Local entrepreneurs are encouraged by us to adopt minimum-impact methods and provide eco-friendly services. We try to minimize the use of campfires by giving proper clothing advice to our clients and by providing adequate clothing gear to our porters and guides.

We trek all the traditional routes when requested but specialize in catering trips to more adventurous travelers who prefer to move off the beaten path. We have all ready provided thousands of high quality trips to clients from all over the world. Our goal is to present with wonderful traveling opportunities and culturally enriching adventures with minimum impact on the fragile environment. The Mega Mount’s crew consists of adventure leaders, naturalists, environmental journalists and trained guides and porters. With great team work, we want to share our beautiful country with you.

A special trek we offer is the Chepang Hills Trek, located South-West of Kathmandu, close to the Indian Border. The Chepang Hills are home to the Chepang one of the ethnic tribe and other minorities. Experience their hospitality and learn about their culture and lifestyle during this trek and enjoy the beautiful nature of the low lands and hills of the Terai.
